An informative event, on a very real health issue that threatens New Englanders every year; ticks, Lyme Disease, and living with Lyme Disease.
Both of our authors have been diagnosed with Lyme Disease, and
researched ways in which they could make their lives more comfortable
and pleasant.
Laura Piazza researched and crafted a cookbook, Recipes for Repair: A Lyme Disease Cookbook,
with her mother, the recipes in which help reduce inflammation without
restricting the eater to a bland and boring lifetime of food. This cookbook, pictured right, is available in our store.
Katina Makris's award-winning book Out of the Woods: Healing Lyme Disease, Body, Mind and Spirit chronicles her 10 year healing journey from a
misdiagnosed case. Read a sample chapter from her book at her website, here.
Join us on a bright and sunny June day, while the ticks are plotting in
the tall grass and woods, to see what you can learn about living a
fulfilling life with Lyme Disease, or helping someone who does.
